Our Christmas Opening Hours

As Christmas quickly approaches, here’s a guide of our opening hours so you know what to expect over Christmas and New Year.

So that our staff can take a break and spend time with their friends and families over Christmas, we have limited opening hours at the practice.

If you require an appointment for a routine checkup such as vaccinations, nail clips, parasite care, or rechecks for medications please consider booking these appointments in the New Year, so our appointments over the Christmas period are available for patients that are unwell. Our phone lines are really busy, please consider booking appointments via our website by clicking here as we show 3 months of available appointments in advance on our website.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please make sure you have enough medication for your pet to cover over the Christmas period.

The last day to order repeat prescriptions before Xmas is Tuesday 21st of December by 6pm and for orders, prior to New Year’s Eve the last day to place an order is Wednesday 29th of December by 12pm. Our medical supplier has limited deliveries over the Xmas period so we ask for all clients to give us as much notice as possible.

Covid Restrictions

With the surge in covid cases, we continue to limit appointments to 1 person per household that is permitted into the surgery, we understand that over the Christmas period that schools are closed but we ask that you respect our limit on client numbers and do not bring additional family members with you to the surgery. Masks must be worn at all times in the surgery, covering the nose and face unless you are exempt. We understand that it is frustrating to be limited to 1 person per household/ per appointment but we have to do this to protect our ability to provide a service to you. Over July we were forced to close for 1 week due to a positive contact on-site so we do have to be very strict on this policy.

What To Do In An Emergency?

Whilst the run-up to Christmas is an exciting time, as your house fills with new guests, toys, smells, and decorations it can also become increasingly stressful and hazardous for your pets. As our opening hours over Christmas and New Year are limited, it’s important to keep your furry friends stay as safe as possible.

If you have an emergency over the Christmas Period please call our normal phone number; 0208 459 4729. If we are closed you will be diverted to our emergency provider.
