Staff Member of the Month - Orla

Introducing our new ‘Staff Member of the Month’ blog, where once a month we have a chance to celebrate our wonderful team here at Roundwood Vets. This month, our staff member of the month goes to the lovely Orla!

Meet Orla, our Client Care Coordinator, who joined our team just over 6 months ago in March. Orla is often the first point of contact for many of our clients here at Roundwood, either on the phone or when greeted into the practice.

Orla is that little bit of sunshine on a cloudy day, she has such a wonderful caring personality and can instantly make you feel at ease. Even after working with us for a short period, Orla feels like part of the furniture at the practice!

Orla’s love of animals started back home in Ireland, where she and her family currently have seven rescue animals, including two donkeys Max and Lightning, two dogs Bella and Badger, and three cats George, Murphy, and Fluffy.

At Roundwood, our values include kindness, conscientiousness, teamwork, fun and growth, which Orla manages to integrate into all aspects of her role.

In her role as Client Care Coordinator, Orla is responsible for greeting our clients, answering our phone calls, emails, and messages from Petsapp, booking appointments, taking payments and all the other nitty-gritty jobs that come with great customer service.

“I greet people as they come, I set the scene, I greet them in, I get them settled, I ask questions. In the meantime, I’ll be taking calls, booking appointments, and emails. I also manage Petsapp and try to encourage our new clients to download it.”

“Then it’s calling patients for follow-ups and check-in, taking payments, I’m often the first point of contact for our clients.”

“I really enjoy meeting new people and building relationships with people.”

“I find it really rewarding.” Said Orla.

Orla is definitely our September Staff Member of the Month! We feel very privileged to have her as a member of our team.
